1) Open the Delete Account page
On the website, visit the Delete Account page from the footer link or directly at /account-deletion. Inside the Guess X mobile app you can reach the same flow from Settings > Delete Account. Both surfaces use the same email-code verification.
2) Enter your account email
Type the email address that is linked to your Guess X account — the one used at registration, or the email associated with your Google or Apple sign-in. You are not asked for a password on the website, so users who signed in with Google or Apple can still delete their account using only this email-code flow.
3) Receive the 6-digit verification code
If an account exists for that email, we email a 6-digit verification code to it. The code is valid for 10 minutes and allows up to 5 attempts. For your security we always show the same confirmation message regardless of whether the email matches an account, so an attacker cannot use this page to discover registered emails.
4) Enter the code and an optional reason
Paste the 6-digit code on the confirmation screen. You may add a short reason (up to 500 characters) to help us improve the product — this field is optional.
5) Submit your deletion request
Submitting the code records your account deletion request immediately. We sign you out of every device, revoke every active access token, refresh token, and push notification token, and remove the account from leaderboards and competitive listings. From this moment your account is in a pending-deletion state.
6) 72-hour cancellation window
Your account stays in a pending-deletion state for 72 hours. If you sign in again during that window — using your email and password, Google sign-in, or Apple sign-in — the deletion request is automatically canceled and a 24-hour cooldown begins during which you cannot submit a new deletion request. If you do not sign in within the 72 hours, the deletion is finalized and cannot be reversed.
What data is removed
When the deletion finalizes we remove or anonymize: your profile (display name, avatar, bio, country, selected character and title), your gameplay history (matches, guesses, leaderboard entries, daily missions, achievements progress), social data (friends list, pending friend requests, reactions), purchased categories and profile characters, push-notification tokens, device records, and any in-app wallet balance.
What data may be retained
We may retain a limited set of records where required for legal obligations, security investigations, anti-fraud and anti-abuse controls, or financial compliance — for example moderation reports concerning your account, abuse-report references, transaction or refund records, and security audit trails. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics such as season-level totals may also be retained indefinitely. See Privacy Policy section 15 for full retention details.
Help if you cannot receive the code
If you no longer have access to the email associated with your account, or the code does not arrive within a few minutes, please contact support through the Contact form on the website. We will verify your identity through alternate means before processing the deletion.
Effect on Google and Apple sign-in
Deleting your Guess X account does not affect your Google or Apple account itself — those providers only confirm your identity at sign-in. After the deletion finalizes, the link between Guess X and your Google or Apple identity is removed. Signing in again with the same Google or Apple account afterwards creates a brand new Guess X account with no history from the previous one.
